There was a superb new LF camera (hopme-built) posted on the US Large Format forum a week or two ago a clone of a Phiillip/Chamonix.

Ian[/QUOTE] Oooop's must put my glasses on when browsing the web, a combination of wood and carbon fiber sounds like the way to go. 3mm A4 carbon fiber sheet is not to expensive, it has got my brain ticking, thinking about laminating wood and carbon fiber to reduce weight.
