I think the point is that papers used to be known as

ChloroBromide

OR

BromoChloride

which gave the clue as to which halides were dominant.

These days its not easy to know.

I remember Ilford Galerie from the very early days and it was stunning but very cold/neutral grey. It seemed to be able to produce the palest of details in the highlights which not many papers could do back then. I always used to use D163 formula developer at the time and this gave some beautiful deep blacks with that particular paper. A really nice paper for large format quality buildings and graphicky type images. Loved it.

As an addition; the finest chlorobromide paper I have ever used was back in the seventies and was Kodak Royal Bromesko. Those warm tones with D163 were simply beautiful.
