Default Forte Fortezo Papers

I've just acquired a box of Forte Fortezo Museum weight
Fibre-based Glossy paper. Has anyone any experiences of this paper (I see that Forte went out of business in 2007)? How does it compare with Ilford FB Glossy, is it an easy drier etc etc.

Thanks,
Ted

It dries as easily as any fibre paper. It is a very good paper, you may not want to return to Ilford after using it. In fact, to avoid any anguish on your part please post it to me immediately.

Default My prints have a brown tinge to them????

My developed prints have a slightly brown tinge to them. I notice on the accompanying blurb sheet it says that "Fortezo papers are graded, warm brown tone, black and white baryta papers." Also on the box identification label it mentions the word "Tropical"?

So was Tropical the Fotezo warm brown?

Or is the developer the problem? The Fortezo blurb recommends using their developer, Fortespeed. I only have Ilford at present. Is it OK or if not what alternative would be better?

thanks,
Ted

Ted, you've not got a problem, that paper has warm browns on a white paper base.

You can 'cool' the tones down by choice of developer and or toning if you so wish.

Here are some cold tone developers if you want that neutral or colder look.

Default Available on ebay right now!!!

There's TWO boxes of the stuff on ebay right now, with 'buy it now' prices if people are happy to pay the prices asked. They are both for sale by the same seller, in Edinburgh.

Just type 'Forte Fortezo' in the search box.
