Hi

As I posted earlier, through Lancashire Monochrome, I'm very willing to host a special print viewing event. I organise two keynote days a year for members and would welcome any suggestions from FADU posters as to whom I might invite in the future - an appreciative audience for fine printing is something I can give a guarantee on.

I may be interested in coming along on the night Jon, but not staying over, living close enough, in Southend, to return home at the end of an evening.

It would be great to see some others work up close but will have to see what my diary and workload for Uni is like closer to the time.

Out here in the California desert "real" photographic prints are as rare as snow. There is one local art gallery that sells well known Hollywood celebrity photo prints (Hurrell, etc.) at pretty big prices and they are fun to view.
I showed "real" prints for a while in a coop gallery but most prints on view there were digital. The digitals mostly looked like they were made with a poor color print process -- Anscocolor, or something. But I suppose they will get better. But I'm building my own darkroom and letting my overpriced big-print digital printer go fallow.
