Default New back to the old ways

Where to start!

Glad to be here, have a long love of analogue pictures ever since studying at college as a graphic designer. Always wanted a darkroom, but digital delayed that!

Then I bought a fancy dress 'prop' camera, this was a 1928 Kodak No1 pocket camera in 120. That will never work I thought, ideal fun prop though. Then the more I thought about it the more I thought, well why not try it. get a film, some chemistry, dust out the old development tank. How hard can it be?

That was late last year, and now I have my own working dark room, 2 enlargers, 2 120 cameras, both pre 60s, my old battered Pentax ME super, and a number of other random 35mm bits and bobs. Oh and very little idea what I am doing!

Last developed pictures in 1996 with a very smart photographic tutor on hand, now I am on my own with nothing but trial and error to help me! So I turn to the wibbly wobbly web and the fine members of this forum to help out a keen amateur whose old skills need a massive buff and polish. Looking for help, advice, projects and hopefully one day be able to give some of it back!

Thanks for reading, talk soon!

Welcome. The good news is that very little has changed since 1996 so if you did it then, you'll easily manage now.

Hi and welcome to Fadu. all but one of the cameras that I use are pre 1960, and that is a 1961 Rolleicord, I love using them, no electircs to go wrong, and very simple, takes me back to a so much simpler time
