Default Repairs to leather camera case

Not sure if this is the right section to post to but does anyone know of anywhere that restores/repairs old leather every ready cases?

I've trawled the interweb but all suggestions seem to centre on traditional shoe makers(coblers I hear you say). Plenty of shoe repairs bars abound but where these days would you find a proper cobbler?

That's who I went to when I needed a leather ERC repaired. If there are any "proper cobblers" still practising their art then they are probably hiding in a shoe-bar.

How about someone that does saddlery repairs etc ? Also, sail repairers or tent makers should have a machine that is up to stitching through leather. I would be tempted to look at specialist car hood repairers /makers as well :-)

Ah! I'll get on my horse and ride down to that shoe bar then. Never thought of a saddle makers, shouldn't be to hard to find one of them. In the countryside. Leave the city. I'll try the shoebar first!

Leave the City? The countryside's got green stuff all over it! Yuk!

Leatherworking is quite a popular hobby so books and tools are not too difficult to find for a DIY approach.

Do they still repair shoes?

I thought you now wear them to they drop and then buy a new pair :-) Probably cheaper than getting them repaired!
