Thanks for the recommendation to use the Moersch thiourea toner. I have only ever used the Fotospeed one, so may give the Moersch one a try.

The only issue is Sulphide toners give a different sepia colour compared to the variable Thiourea toners. So it's a case of testing tosee waht suits best.

Thanks Ian. And I suppose the colour varies with different brands of paper. I have found this to be the case with Thiourea toner.

Definitely varies between brand and type, warm tone papers will tone quite differently. Toners are best with Bromide papers, colder, more neutral, to start with.
