It's a thermostated roller automatic paper developing machine. It's conceived for color process but I think it could handle bw RC paper too. I cannot tell more as I never owned one ... I have no doubt it is a good and robust tool, as everything that came from this historic brand.

Cheers, M.

I've never heard of a Printo Compact until now. I have a 'normal', 30 cm Printo. Your photo shows something narrower and probably limited to RA speed as its name suggests.

If your question is about whether or not to buy this machine I'd suggest to go for a more common version. They are cheap and spares are easier to find.

I have actually just bought it on a whim for 14.99 GBP or 17.76 EURO, it seemed a pretty good price, thought it was perhaps to good to miss, maybe I was right, maybe I was wrong

Tried to find out about it on the net, but info was very, very limited, almost nil that I could find, so was just wondering if any member knew of or anything about it.

Default FREE Durst Printo available for p/p only!

Seems there's also another Printo unit going if anyone wants one, just for the price of carriage @ https://twitter.com/MichaelMarten/st...27581353467904

If I thought I had a load of the same print to do at any time, I would be tempted, so currently will leave it for someone else.

Don't know if you've read the following bits Ian, but found them via google using 'durst printo compact RA' and poeple talk about the Printo RA but not the compact version unti, but presume that the only difference is size???

It's said that the speed through the chemicals is adjustable and people have used the units for B/W as well the RA(4?) that's in the model number.

Hope this is of some help.

Hi I obtained a Printo last year in good condition - I haven't used it yet but it did come with instructions. If anyone would like a copy of the instructions PM me and I will try to find them and produce a photocopy

nn, this might be a case for scanning for the accessories section. It's great that you are prepared to produce a photocopy but in case others get one in the future a download would be easier

Just a thought

Mike
