West Yorkshire Cameras also get my vote. One to definitely avoid is mw classic cameras.

Default One to be cautious about

Mr Cad has a vast stock of film cameras and lenses plus associated equipment they can be sometimes not as exactly as described. They also tend to be a bit on the expensive side too.

Having said that I bought a Minolta Autometer 3 for about £69 a year or so ago, I cannot remember exactly, but it came not only with the meter but the invercone and the rare - and expensive spot meter attachment that clipped in front of the sensor. All unmarked and very very accurate

I saw a complete one like mine for £129 only quite recently.

I just had a look. Some good stuff. There is a 20mm Nikon AF f2-8 for £275 at EXC+ I am not a Nikon user but these days for a 20mm that has to be good value, I feel

i fully agree with you on mrcad. you can find some real real gems. i recently picked the microprism focusing screen for the rz67 for £40 pounds and it goes for 90+. Some things are over priced but if you a aware of going prices and you can checked the condition you can pick up bargins.

the shop can be overwhelming as they have alot of stuff in a small space

About the going price for one in good order. However the same lens in an AIS manual focus mount will be almost twice the price.

Default One to be carefull about

I don't mean that unkindly and that company is Grays of Westminster (Just around the corner from Mr CAD) They sell only Nikon items and then only the best in 2nd hand (apart from new) but the prices are to say the least 'eye watering'!

If you think their prices are 'eye watering' John, pop over to the red dotted camera shop to look at theirs!

Well anything that has to do with a Leica will attract a premium. That goes without saying

As I read through the list of shops I'm shocked that so many still survive and happy to read they have.

Default IAN B FOTO - Broninca / Mamiya

I have had good service from IAN B FOTO (online only) who specialises in Bronica and Mamiya. Ian is an ex pro who has used these cameras and he knows what he is talking about. He is particulary good for those hard to source items. Fair prices too - in my experience.
