Default neck straps

been looking for a neck strap for my rollei ,and was shocked on how much they are going for ,so I had a look in my bits box and found a zenza bronica strap ,and two mamiya RB67 clips ,I tried them on my camera but they were to thick so I ground them down and they fit lovely .so now I can swoon about looking like a right Doris with a big camera dangling from my Gregory peck ..

Swooning is OK as long as you come back with some pics

I don’t like the Bronica strap it gets in the way when it is on the tripod and is a pain in the bum to take it off the camera easily. I’m looking at the Peak Design Leash, as I already have the wrist strap on my AE1, and can easily remove it if it goes on the tripod. Does anyone have experience of the Peak Design one?

The Bronica SQ-a handgrip is quite a useful accessory, even with the waist level finder. I use one for out an about shooting. You can attach a tripod to it, or very quickly remove it, if you prefer, to put the camera on a tripod. I don’t bother with a strap, and carry the camera with grip in an open top shoulder bag. When you see the shot, you just reach in and lift it out.

I was talking to a chap a few years ago, and he had a steel wire running through the hollow webbing of his camera strap.
Apparently pick-pockets and sneak thieves use a sharp craft knife to cut the strap in packed crowds. You don't know it is gone, until the thief is gone.

Peak Design stuff are the bees knees, if expensive.

I shut my eyes and ordered the Peak Design Slide strap, oh wow! It is sooo comfortable and works really well on the Bronica, very happy bunny. Mike you were right about the cost, but when balanced against the cost of the camera dangling from it, it was worth it.

Thinking about it, I'm not even sure if I have a strap on my Bronica, as I always put it on a solid tripod.

They do look really nice and very well made though, so in today's times, they are probably worth every penny. It's just a choice of colour now, but black would probably be my first choice, to match the camera.
