Default Voigtlander Brillant TLR - offers?

I picked up one of these at the local auction sale this afternoon in a lot together with a very nice little Olympus 35RC. The Voigtlander is of no interest to me so I'm open to any offers. It's in what looks like probably the original leather case, and comes complete with a partly exposed (now slightly fogged!) roll of Kodacolor. It needs a good clean and the shutter speeds sound a bit slow, but otherwise it seems to work.

Anyone interested please PM me.

PS - it's a BRILLANT, not a Brilliant. Didn't know there's a difference! The accessories (filter etc) are missing.

Richard,

will you be at this weekend's meet? If so, perhaps you could bring it along. I'll be bringing a host of recently serviced cameras; including an 35 RC that I picked up at the last camera fair and a Retina IIa (F2)

Hi Brian

Yes, I'm hoping to be across to the meet on at least one day so I'll bring the 35RC. I have had an offer for the Brillant - whether I can bring that as well depends on whether the new owner minds waiting a week to get it!

And received with thanks. After a lens clean up and shutter service it now shines. I ran a roll through it yesterday and will post a couple of test shots later. That Heliar is a gem.

I've also ordered a replacement front-surface mirror for it. This may require some focus adjustment, but it will certainly improve the view finder.

I thought it was quite bright actually, at least compared with my Mamiya C3! Nice to know it's in good health anyway .

Bright, yes, but you know, new technology, and all that.

I've just added something here ...

Richard

I use my 35 RC nearly all the time, fitted with a yellow filter and one of those original metal hoods - Luton Cameras usually have a few in stock by the way.
It is a fantastic little camera, I picked mine up on e-bay for £18 last year but they seem to be going for a lot more now. Interestingly www.tripman.co.uk is soon going to be offering refurbished RCs as well as his splendid trips of which I have two.

Look forward to seeing some RC images
