Default Hello from Galway, Ireland

I studied Photographic Technology in College a long time ago (1965-68) so have long been interested in photography. I have a lot of old film cameras. Recently my main interest is in stereoscopy in ViewMaster, Realist and medium formats, using Provia 100f transparency film which I process myself.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone processing film using an E6 kit, especially because I might have to switch from using the Tetenal Colortec E6 kit as it has been unavailable for 6 months.

Chris

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum. I'm sure someone will reply to your question soon.

As for stereoscopy, I know that Brian May from Queen has a keen interest, and just browsing, I realise that I have just missed an exhibition in London, of the book that he helped with. What makes my missing it worse, is that it was on for FIVE months and I knew nothing about it. I have been keeping an eye on exhibitions, to give me a trek to London for the day. Ho, hum...

P.S. I don't know why, but your post is dated 24 April 2023, but has only just appeared on the list of new messages to me today, Sunday 30 April 2023...?

Welcome Chris. Unfortunately the situation with colour chemicals in particular seems to be precarious

Welcome! I've never done E6 myself, but there's enough knowledge around here so someone should be able to help you out!

Hi Chris, welcome to FADU!
Not using E6 dev myself, but love the ProviaF.
Found that JOBO is making a 6-bath E6-Kit, 99 EUR for 20 films:

Default E6 Alternatives

Both Bellini and Jobo do "6-bath" (actually 7) kits, but the Tetenal "3-bath" (actually 4!) is so much easier for home processing at 38degC. Tetenal have told me they ARE planning to produce their kit again, but I wonder when.

Hi Chris,
I read that they are moving to other premises. I hope that this is the only reason for the halt of production now.
