Default WTB: 4x5 (5x4) film holders/ DDS

Hi everyone,

I took all my film holders to the US a few months ago and came back to discover most of them must have broken in transit So out of my 8 or so double darkslide film holders, I think I have 2 1/2 (actual slide broken/cracked on one but the other side is light tight) ones that are still working. I really need to restock my supply if anyone has any that are still light tight or in good working order.

I don't mind if they're the old wooden kind or Fidelity Elite, though I don't really like the Fidelity Deluxe unless in good condition as my husband bought some off of ebay for me and I've had the handle on one of the slides come off when being pulled (!). I'm also confused about the Toyo I have as I've just noticed it has two riveted holes in the middle septum at one end for no reason...

Will considering trading cyanotypes for film holders, if that sweetens the deal for anyone.

Hi Heather

I have about 4 of the old wooden MPP one's that I could trade with you? NB These are the thicker one's with the removable metal insert which makes loading film a doddle.

Heather - If you want new ones, Calumet list Elites at £23.69 each, VAT included. See
http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/Film:+...a+Accessories/

for that.

As well as that, I may have a surplus. My daggiest ones came from MXV but they're still light-tight. I was given some Astras late last year, with the locking button rather than the silly wire hook. They can be got new from calumetphoto.de and are also described at http://www.galerie-photo.net/index1.html , whose prices look ridiculous (they sell both sizes, so be canny).
