poorly Canon EOS-3
I've been playing with roll your own slidefilm in my EOS-3 lately and the last one wasn't properly secured to the spool so when I hit the end of the roll it had come out of the film cassette (I suspected this when it went into auto rewind). No problem I thought, I'll fish it out in the darkroom. But in doing so I have touched the back of the shutter (fingerprint on it) but it all looks to be in place still. Problem is when I turn the camera on now it goes nuts, I get the full 7fps shutter firing with no input from me, yet the mirror doesn't move and the shutter curtains have a minor twitch yet don't open.
Any suggestions on a sensibly priced repairer? its a lovely camera that I enjoy using. |

Try http://newtonellis.co.ukI have used them a number of time for repairs/servicing of my classic cameras, not overpriced and they do a very good job indeed, I don't think there is a camera, ancient or modern, that they can't repair,
Richard

Probably get a good one on Ebay cheaper than the cost of repair.
