Default stainless steel reel and tank

Does anyone know of a supplier for stainless steel 120 size developing tanks & reels?
Alternatively does anyone have a spare one that they are willing to sell?

Les

I bought some from Hewes direct a few years back

http://www.hewes.co.uk/

funny thing was that the guy I spoke to asked me to make payment to the local pub. Not sure what was going on there but it was only a few quid so I did. Reels arrived no problem.

p.s. I'm not sure that they make the tanks though.

but you can get tanks from here

http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/eng/br...veloping-tanks

I have a couple of them. The lids have the light trap in them and fill is a bit slow as care needs to be taken.

I think the people who run Hewes also own a pub. I don't think he was paying off his slate!

Many thanks for the replies- I think I may be sorted. I googled Hawes- they are very close to where I used to live in rural Cambridgeshire. It is nice to know that a cottage industry like this is still surviving.

I did wonder and it definitely amused me at the time. The bloke was so helpful and informative that I figured it couldn't be a joke.

note that they make reels with different size holes in the middle. There are ones that fit onto jobo or is it paterson (not sure) center columns so if you have the right tank already you don't need a kindermann steel one. The reels for the kinderman steel tanks don't use a centre column. And I think they are different diameters so you cant use the ones for jobo in the kindermann steel tanks. Just make sure you ask and specify which tank they are for.

I bought a couple of 220 reels from Hewes a couple of years ago. Exactly the same experience - really helpful and paid through the pub next door. Great product and service, a joy to deal with.
