It's firm at this end. I've got Friday to Sunday off so I'll still be out with a camera if no-one else is!

Hi guys

I have just booked for the 3 nights.

I didn't book breakfast for any of the days, as I thought I might keep my options open.

Really looking forward to it.

Martin

Just booked 7/8/9th June (3 nights, Friday to Monday) at the Premier Inn in Kings Lynn. I also kept my options open by not booking breakfast.

I have not been to Norfolk for years, really looking forward to it. Longer drive now from here.

Hopefully we will see better weather than on our last (many) trips.

Tut tut Barry

At Dartmoor the Friday and Saturday were a mixture of sunshine and lightly overcast.

Yes, OK, Sunday was fog with drizzle and Monday was heavy rain - but that is what Dartmoor in the winter if famous for.

Are you going to volunteer to be in charge of organising the weather for this trip.

I vote for bright sunshine and heavy showers - yes you get wet/soaked but the quality of the light is fabulous

No such thing as bad weather - just the wrong film for it. I always think Norfolk looks best in driving rain anyway (at least inside the pub)!

Seriously though, East Anglia is (theoretically) the driest part of the UK.

In terms of good locations there's plenty of choice. King's Lynn itself with the historic waterfront, Hunstanton - faded seaside resort with interesting cliffs (and great fish & chips), Thornham harbour, Brancaster Staithe, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham, Wells-Next-the-Sea, Creake Abbey. If we wanted to go a bit further Cromer, Sheringham and the North Norfolk Railway are about an hour's drive away.

Dartmoor was great, it had the weather I expected (probably better). I will leave Rob in charge of the weather and the Pubs

Sounds like we are spoilt for choice.

I realise a great deal depends upon the weather - but - I really like Robs album of old boats slowly sinking into the ooze and mug - https://www.film-and-darkroom-user.o...php?albumid=42

However, I'm happy to go with the flow of what everyone else wants to do.

Booked from 7th for 3 nights. Went with the flow and didn't book breakfast in advance.

See y'all there!
