This dealer has had a bit of a colourful career. If I recall correctly he has gone bust a couple of times and has had previous businesses in the south coast area around Bournemouth or somewhere similar.

I have never used him but I recall his prices were at the higher end of the scale.

After 10 weeks you are well past any reasonable delay.

Give him one last chance or you are opening a claim in the County Court.

https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money

It will cost you £60 to lodge a small-claim online for £500-£1000 owed (plus you can claim interest).

As the Isle of Man isn't in the UK, some of the suggestions may not apply.

Peter Walnes sells on Ebay as arri888 his feedback indicates that my case is not the first time he has he has sold an expensive item which has gone missing and he has taken ages to issue a refund, I suspect this is a way of obtaining cheap bridging loans???

I've bought from Peter Walnes 2 or 3 times with no issues. He used to be based in Templecombe, Somerset, and at some point around 2013/14 has relocated to Penzance.

He's been a mail order dealer for some time, I don't know if he ever had a shop.

I bought from him many years ago when he had a shop in Putney, South London. No problem then but it was a long time ago.

Unfortunately the plain fact is that we seem to be experiencing a lot of general problems within business transactions including refunds, deliveries etc

It may just be that a lot of the Covid chickens are still coming home to roost even though there may be light at the end of the tunnel. I suspect that we can expect such frustrations to be with us for some little time to come

Currently my utilities supplier is having website problems that is taking longer to resolve than would normally be the case. My garden supplier had problems with delivery of such things as garden canes. Waitrose stocks of its own breakfast cereals seem to come in fits and starts etc
