Default 4x5 film camera *WANTED*

hi guys,

Its been a while. I hope everyone is doing good. RIGHT. Ive sourced a 6x12 film holder based in london. I am now looking for a 4x5 camera. The 6x12 film holder uses a graflok back system so would be looking for a camera with this. Im a beginner in 4X5 i shoot a rz67. Looking for a good deal not house deposit equivalent haha. I will be using the camera mostly for 6x12. Lenses will most likely start with a 90mm and a standard lens.

If anyone is interested in selling do contact me. I live in south east london but i can travel.

kind regards

soulstar

I don't have one for sale but it could be helpful to know whether your after the light, portability of a field camera or the robustness and freedom of movement of a monorail?

Whatever your decision, a lot should be as much determined by what you're going to photograph as by your budget.

Ffordes have a god selection, and if you can live with a monorail they have a couple of cameras at under £200.

West Yorkshire cameras often have 5x4, but currently just one monorail in stock.
Second Hand Darkroom seem to be closed to move premises, but might be receptive to a telephone enquiry?

Folding field cameras are often more portable, but prices start higher.
As Marty says, what kind of work do you plan to use it for?

For someone starting off in LF and portability is an issue, the intrepid camera's are a steal. Another option might be an MPP for greater robustness.

Not half Marty- I just checked.
Even an 8x10 is less than I paid for a 5x4 Shen Hao 10 years ago.
Sorry I looked now!!

Hi
Are looking for a camera for use on a tripod, focusing and composing on the ground glass, or do you want a handheld camera with a viewfinder?

hey sorry for late response guys got busy. Im looking to use 4x5 for staged shoots, portraits and some cityscapes. I considered the intrepid but from people i know who have used it they suggest i just go for a something else.

Yesterday i went to shoot my grandfather with my tripod,RZ67 with prism, three lenses, a extra back and accessories. the bag was so heavy. I am a fit person but it really made me realise for 4x5 weight will have to be a factor as i would love to bring more than one camera.

movements are important as i would love to have more control on depth of field and perspective. Also a monorail wouldn't be ideal i feel
