Tetenal Phototabs
Not sure if this has been posted here before, but this recently came to my attention:
https://tetenal.com/consumer-shop/s-w-chemie/phototabs/ Very interesting concept. The developer is based on a 1950s Parvofin formula, now in solid dissolvable tabs. I'm not familiar with the original, but perhaps others here know it. The very long shelf life of the tabs is certainly appealing.

I mentioned them in a post on x rays at airports.
Also Mike started a separate topic. http://www.film-and-darkroom-user.or...ad.php?t=13936 There is a link to Nicos Photography Show on Youtube amongst them. They sound interesting. Cheers.

I wonder if Tetenal will give dev times for at least the main films in the market or at least indicate what it believes its tabs are closest to in terms of the other mainstream developers?
Or has it already done this? Mike |

Thanks for the link Nat. Interestingly the economy dilution still only results in the kind of times I use for Xtol and HP5+ at 1+1 so there is no great time penalty for the economy dilution
Certainly a great increase in available space in the darkroom with 1 bottle of tablets v 5L of liquid Xtol and all worries of liquid developers going bad over time Mike |

Nice Cine camera in the background at one point (Baun Nizo??) Seems like a good idea for travelling, or perhaps the very low volume user who finds chemistry spoiling before they use it all up. |
