Smile Bill Wisden, MBE

Photographer Bill Wisden, Hon FRPS has just received an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours.

Bill has done hell of a lot for photography over his many great years in the business. He is a member of Brighton & Hove Camera Club and the London Salon.

Bill judged one of my prints as 'best in show' many moons ago, so he is obviously a man of impeccable taste

Here.

Thanks for the link, Nick.An active man all his life. A bit sobering to see a post about him in 2011 on FADU and an obituary some six and a half years later despite the fact that he had had a "good innings" as they say.

Default Bill Wisden

I have a lot to thank Bill for because he was my guide who helped me when I applied the 2nd time - this time successfully - for my ARPS distinction. I could not have had a better mentor. He was one of life's true gentlemen. Never once did I hear him rip a competition entry to shreds, his commentary was always constructive, informative, and balanced.

Well done Bill you deserve it.

I was always extra chuffed if I received an acceptance or award in Salons where Bill was a Judge or Selector.
