Default The Man Who Shot New York - Sky Arts Channel Friday 5 Nov 10:30pm -11:50pm

The above programme is shown tonight on the Sky Arts channel about Harold Feinstein

I can't recall it being shown before but I could be wrong and it might be interesting

Hi Mike, it has been on before, I have it recorded and watched it the other week. TBH I can't remember much about it so it obviously didn't chime with me!

Maybe it didn't chime with me either which is why I can't remember seeing it but I'll give it a go

I too have taped it, along with anything else about photography that comes on the telly. You have to check the bed-time hours in the listings, as that's when some good programmes appear on the channel.

Sky Arts channel is becoming my favourite channel of late, as I've taped loads of programmes on it, mostly being photography and music concerts, painting competitions and biog's. I've got my fingers heavily crossed that it remains a free channel to watch and record from.

Well it certainly chimed with me this time and I presume last time because I felt vaguely aware that I had seem some of the shots and conversation before

It is largely the story of Harold's life and his times in New York but mainly concentrates on the late 40s and early 50s and it was that era that I found interesting but there are pics from the 60 and 70s

He seems never to have strayed from b&w or from film

His life style was more colourful that his demeanour,as a man in his then early to mid 80s might suggest

Worth a look in my opinion if you get the chance again and haven't recorded it this time. If you have recorded it then enjoy
