Default Friends...

I seem to be late to the party but see many folk that are familiar! Whilst my image making might not be strictly silver paper based it is very traditional! I am about to secure a Zeiss Ikon ZM and so expect to be making a few more prints before too long. Seem to have been overtaken by alt process and wet plate of late. Anyway I hope to contribute along the way.

All the best, Carl

Welcome aboard Carl - nothing more traditional than wet-plate... Indeed, most of us are the rabble that the Rev. Charles Dodgson was afraid would be let in by the replacement of wet-plate by commercially available plates!

Hi Carl; I can see the day coming when more of us might have to return to the production of wet plates if we wish to hold onto some of the older processes.

Many thanks for the welcome folks! As to wet plate - I'll bring the kit down to Broadstairs in May/June when I visit the folks and anyone that wants to see it in action would be more than welcome to attend a local gathering.

Hi Carl,

Hello and welcome. I would love to see your wet plate gear in action some time.

Cheers,

Neil.

Hello Carl and Welcome.

I would be most interested in seeing you work as I have never seen a wet plate, let alone many other Alt processes. I feel this is an area where we in this country are missing out compared to our friends across the waters. Either that or I am just walking around with my eyes closed

I do hope you get enough together for a gathering.

Best

Stoo

Hi Stoo

I'll just bring the kit down to my folks in spring next year and whoever wants to wander around and join in the fun will be more than welcome too!

All the best, Carl
