Tommy, 28 euros is actually cheaper than the stuff I saw on U.K. e-bay when it was available. It may have been one seller who thought he/she could exploit the perceived scarcity of such bits. Right now there is another seller who is exploiting the perceived "scarcity" of Jobo reels, magnets and drums.

SDS and Nova based on their sites' prices are cheaper. Let's hope that one day all buyers will wake up and not automatically assume that "if it's e-bay it must be cheaper"

It pays to shop around

Mike

It does indeed Mike, I was passing my local shop today, Gunns in Dublin,it's where I get my Film and paper, I decided to just see if they had a bulb in stock for the m605,they did, straight off the shelf,I tried my luck with the 80mm lens holder, she goes to the back of the shop and returns with the enlarger user manual, whips a 50mm holder off the shelf, she's certain she has an 80mm one in a box up stairs, may also have the 66 holder,is doubtful if she has the 6.45, will check before she goes home. I couldn't believe it,I've become used to a blank stare or a shake of the head when I go to camera shops, most young attendants don't know what an enlarger is, never mind a lens board or holder for an M605. I've become used to shopping online rather than go local (btw,SHD and MrCad both have the negative holders @£20 each,SHD have both the carrier @ £79 and 80mm lens board @ £10 +£15 shipping.) so some saving has been had by shopping around. Sound advise.

Tommy, I had heard good things about Gunns a while ago maybe it was from the "fizz" who comes here as well. Your experience would seem to confirm that it is a pretty "switched on" place.

Pity that it is so far away for me

Mike
