That is me. The domain is being used as galleries/steventaylorphotography.com to point at my proofing page. I don't understand it all but my web site people tell me that is so.

fordcottagephotography has been up for over a year and has some google awareness already, steventaylorphotography is intensively marketed to wedding photography, there is space on the splash page, which I was going to put a blog on, that I could use for the fine art site. So I could direct steventaylorphotography.co.uk visitors to fordcottagephotography and keep fordcottagephotography as well... But, it says in David Vinney's book on SEO that Google do not like sites that are re-directed. It's a minefield.

I think Richard Gould might just have it right by not having a site at all.

Steven -

http://www.steventaylorphotography.com/ currently comes up with a page from someone called Namesco and a button asking "is this your domain?" so maybe something's not working properly.

It's probably true that search engines don't like redirected sites, but what I was suggesting is you have a link to the new site from the front page of the existing one rather than a redirection, and that the two sites are hosted in the same web space so both domains can point to it without needing a redirection.

www.rhdesigns.co.uk and www.rhdigital.co.uk both point to the same web server but are separate domains in their own right and would be seen as such by Google et al. I don't know whether this facility is unique to my web hosting company www.1and1.co.uk or not however.
