What about ‘The Artist’ ? It was B&W and much more recent. I also saw one called ‘The Lighthouse’ which was B&W made in 2019. Perhaps not mainstream, but the lighting and composition of the scenes were fantastic. The story may not appeal to everyone.

Both FP4+ and HP5+ are available in the shorter length, 17m (my smallest bulk loader won't accept 30.5m).

"The Artist" was filmed on Kodak Vision3 500T 5219 according to IMDB, and which appears to be a colour negative film. It was subsequently digitally remastered into monochrome.

That’s a pity as I recall it being highly praised, at least partly due to being in black and white. At least the original material was film, albeit colour. I think that is one of the colour stocks sold nowadays for still cameras. You could buy Vision3 materials as is in Super8 at one point, but I’m not sure if that is still the case.

Bill mentioned the film Schindlers List.
Next time you are in an elevator look for the makers name in the brass work on the floor.
I smile to myself when I see the name Shindlers Lifts.
