Default Peak District Meet

Does anyone fancy meeting in the Peak District this "Spring", if ever we have one. I was thinking April sometime.

Maybe . . . . . .

It's not too far for me and there's somewhere to leave my mother for a day. Can't do the last weekend though.

I might be interested depending on when/where. I travel by a combination of train and bike so within 10 miles of a station would be good. I did a couple of trips to Grindleford and Padley Gorge to see the piles of old millstones last year but the light was useless on both days. I wouldn't mind another try though.

Hope valley is good on the train (grindleford/hathersage/bamford/hope/edale), not sure about the rest, Buxton, glossop, and Matlock maybe?

So far this is looking like a cheap round in the pub afterwards.....

I'd have my fiend with me, but as you're buying he might try his first beer

A bit further south would suit me better but I'm lexible, I've shot a bit in the Peak District but not enough to put a project together.

I'm sure someone could pick Rob up from Derby or Sheffield station.

Right, we need a date. How about Saturday 13th. at 09:00. Now we need a location. How about Grindleford. Do we want to shoot a village or landscapes. We could walk/drive from there to anywhere we wanted.

Maybe a suggested date to work towards would help things move along a bit. I'll leave that to others to suggest, I don't want to have to speak to my social secretary without something concrete.

Can do next weekend 20th/21st what ever fits with others, failing that a weekend in May but not the first (4th/5th) as I'm shooting in Turkey that weekend.

If we make it LF friendly we can drum up some others from our contacts on other Forums.
