Just got here, a print of a statue printed on Fomatone Chamois paper, like it a lot, very simple and small print but lovely with plenty of detail, Thanks Alex

And mine was put in the post, by first class, yesterday.

Early for once, for me anyway!

And received earlier today - a print of summer street scene with wonderful composition of narrow street and shadow, I really like it. Also, the paper (glossy RC Adox) looks very good with just about right amount of gloss.

P.S. I just have to comment about the post stamps - the pair with the Moselle river meander is just fantastic

Thanks for the nice print

Jakub

And arrived before it was posted - as far as my records were concerned anyway.

Terry sent me a print from a 120 negative taken with an old Kodak Cresta II (Brownie under a different name, if understand Terry's covering note correctly). Yes, it is soft but does suit the subject - a Brass Band and audience in a park. Also it was a print 7" square and I am sure that in the day they would have been enlarged to a maximum of 3" square if at all. The amount of flashing to get a bit of tone in the relatively small area of blank sky is just right and without which the image would have lost atmosphere.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Jakub,
Glad you like the image and I share your thoughts about the paper.
Indeed, the Moselle/Mosel valley is particularly beautiful. There is a similar famous bend nearby of the river Saar. All lovely and makes for the superb vine growing region of Mosel-Saar-Ruwer. Worth a visit!
