Default Metal halide bulbs for alt processes

Hi peeps
After reading of suitable uv lights for alt processes, I ordered a 600w/7200kelvin HID metal halide bulb with electronic ballast and reflector, these are the type of lights used for growing plants etc
I was going to build a 8 tube uv fluorescent light box, but thought of the building hassle etc and settled on the metal halide option
It will act like a single point source (similar to the sun) so apparently yields slightly sharper and contrasty results with larger images
This is a good read from sandy kings website on uv lights

Anyone else on here used metal halide lights
