The problem with using ortho is the colour rendition. Being 'ortho' it has no or reduced red sensitivity. whilst this may not cause any problems with objects the rendering of skin will look 'odd' and people will look a bit overcooked if you get my meaning.
This was one reason before colour film or digital was common the Scenes of Crime photographers used ortho to make injuries on assault victims appear clearer.
