Default Unknown LF film type

Hi from Denmark,
I am a 4x5 shooter, mainly ILFORD FP4. I recently
tried unsharp masking using several sheets of ILFORD
ORTHO 4X5 film as masks given to me by a friend.
I would like to continue with this technique, but
discovered that I was unable to buy ILFORD ORTHO in
4x5 sheets.
I came across a film type called "REGENT ROYAL", which
claims to be a "half-tone" film. I purchased a box
of 50 sheets of 4x5 as it was extremely inexpensive.
This film however, comes with no user information at
all, ie: film speed, developer type, development times
etc...
Would any FADU member have some experience with this
film? I would be really grateful for any processing
data about this film, as I would really like to
continue using the unsharp masking method.
Or... if anyone knows where I could buy 4x5 ILFORD
ORTHO in 4x5 sheets, which I of course, much prefer.
Thanks for your time,
Deryck.

There appears to be low availability of Ilford Ortho plus in 4x5" at my usual sources.

Macodirect.de
Fotoimpex.de
Calumet nl/de
Retrocamera.be

Although, I believe it would be worth making contact with some suppliers or checking their websites regularly for stock availability. It's also often possible to sign-up to notifications of when specific items of stock become available.

Regarding the "Regent Royal" film, I don't have personal experience with this film but this is the best I can find, 8 very interesting reviews/comments at B&H. Click on "view all reviews".

Ilford Ortho+ in 5x4 is available at The Imaging Warehouse.

One of the FADU sponsors - see the top bar of the web site.

I'm not sure how the UK to EU customs process works these days.

I have a very old unopened box of Ortho+ 5x4 - about 10~ish years old that has been in the freezer (aprox -20C) all its life.

You want it, can have it for the cost of the postage.

I intended to use it for something (but I cannot remember what) but it has sat in the freezer for years.

I cannot send it straight away but perhaps in 3~4 weeks time.

PM me if you are interested.

Martin
