Hi. It's a Paterson High Speed print washer, designed for RC paper. You connect one hose to the tap and put the drain hose in the sink. There should be dividers to fit the slots in the bottom if you're doing 2 or 4 smaller prints. I sit mine on the draining board next to the kitchen sink. You can wash RC prints in 2-3 minutes in it. You keep the water running throughout.
Alex.

Default Print washer

It is designed for prints up to 12x16. The four slots in the base are for dividers which will allow you to wash 4 x 7"x5" or 2 10"x8"prints at a time.

Connect (push) one of the hoses onto a tap and the small nozzle goes into the hole at the top of the washer.

The other hose connects into the drain hole at the other end (I never use it) start the water running and slide a print into the tray to start the wash. If it it resin coated allow 5 mins for it to be washed completely.

If it is fibre based paper then to have complete washing it will take at least an hour, unless you use something like wash aid to eliminate any residual fixer.

I wash my prints in the bath and the natural slope of the bath ensures that the water flows away quite nicely. You don't need a high flow of water, just enough to create a swirl to clear the fixer.

To get the most out of whatever washing method you have available to you, I would thoroughly recommend reading Martin Reed's research which is available on this site:
