I would recommend Peak imaging in Sheffield. Better still you could process it yourself. I live on the Notts border and don't know of any walk in type shops that process their own films anymore. If the shop is going to send it away you may as well cut out the middle man or woman.

Slide or neg film? And how many do you plan on shooting in the next year or so? If its only the odd roll then doing E6 or C41 at home yourself won't be economical, I'd just send it to Peak, they generally get it back to you really fast too.

ag-photolab
I've recently been using 120 colour film and had 7 rolls processed over the past couple of weeks by ag-photolab.
All the negatives came back well processed, flat, clean and well packaged. The price is very competitive and turn-around is quick - I sent 3 rolls in last Monday and they were back on Thursday. Recommended. http://www.ag-photolab.co.uk/ ps - I have nowt to do with them except being a satisfied customer.

I use ag-photolab as well. They also send with your order prepaid post bags for your next order.

I have never worked out why this kind of strategy was dropped. It says to the customer: "We believe we did a good job and hope you feel the same way so in the hope that you agree we will cover the postage cost of your next order to us" It's not rocket science Mike |
