Default Chamonix 45n-2

I know of at least one FADU member that is getting a Chamonix 45n-2 camera from the new batch soon to be released. I’m not trying to teach any body to suck eggs but there are no instructions, not that you need them as it’s very simple to use.

So there are just a few tips on the use of the Chamonix that may help you may help you get away to a flying start in enjoying using this very versatile little camera.

See attached photos

File 1. Undo rear knobs to raise back standard.

File 2. Undo front standard knobs and mount in required position.

File 3. Align front standard on bed, there are two dots on the F/S arms
the upper one for off centre and lower for centred boards.

File 4. For tilt undo the two bottom sliders and tilt there is no need to slacken
shift knobs to do this.

File 5. To remove complete screen it's easier to slide the screen protector against the
arms and push with your left hand.

File 6. You can fit accessory back and lock with four rotary tabs. two bottom two top.
Bottom photo lift top levers to remove and rotate complete camera back.

File 7. As above.

File 8. Push in the two rear bottom tabs to adjust rear tilt.

File 9 and 10. When folding the camera it is very important to slacken the front shift
knobs and leave them slack. I lay a this sheet of thin foam on the bed to stop
the front standard moving about when traveling.

I've not mentioned about shift/swing etc as they are self explanatory, hope this is some help.

JON.

Thanks John, I'm sure this will be of interest to many here, I know from looking at your mk1 that the Chamonix build quality is very high.

Yes, I can confirm that. I'm happy user of 45N-2 and I can't see any weaknesses as for workmanship. These are really solidly built perfect cameras made with highest care. One wouldn’t expect it speaking about Chinese product , but it's really great, well worth the money ...

Good tip about using the screen protector to remove the screen, I will have to try that on my 45N-1.

What are the coloured parts on the front of the bed? they are not on the N-1.
