It was waiting for me when I got home, Taken on one of Terry's Konica POP fixed lens compact's it a lovely print of the stern of Nelson's Flagship Victory, and printed on the new MGRC V paper, which from this example seems a nice paper, The camera has made a nice negative, very sharp and very nice tones, plenty of detail,
Thanks Terry, another great print for my collection

I’ve just received the print from Jakub.
It is a very atmospheric view of a tributary of the Danube. The scene contains a lot of trees and branches which have fallen into the water, creating a feeling of wilderness, and neglect. Ideal territory for the thriving wildlife population Jakub describes in his letter. The print is on a Foma RC paper which I have never seen before. It has a nice silky finish, and the image has a certain warmth which I am guessing comes from the print developer.
The print portrays the subject very well, and I am very pleased to have received it. Many thanks to Jakub.
Alex.

Hi Alex, I'm glad that you have liked it.
Foma calls this surface matte, but it is very different from matte in their FB offerings...more somewhere between silky and pearl, but I like the surface.
Actually, I have fully realized the print is in brownish tone only when I was scannig it - I guess the developer must have just hit the right exhaustion point as this was the last print in session and none of the previous are brown - happy accidents, eh?

Jakub

Indeed it was, Jakub! It adds a tranquility to the image, and yet there is the mystery of what might be lurking in the water, or the woods...
