I checked the status of the orders placed this morning, and see that the first batch of soft-back books has been dispatched by Blurb. If however, like me, you selected the cheapest postal option it could still be a week before you receive your copy.

While I was out today my local postie left a card saying a book awaits me at the local sorting office, is it the yearbook, or the George Rodger book. hopefully I'll find out tomorrow!

Postman just dropped mine in the door .. that was fast .... and I'm pretty sure I chose the standard, cheapest shipping option.

Anyway, the book looks great. Brilliant job all ...

Good news Hugh and Fintan. It seems that all but the last couple of orders have been dispatched. Those of us in the UK are now in the hands of a very disrupted postal service.

The Royal Mail is seriously disrupted and their "service" is very patchy. If you ordered "economy" as I did then they quote 9 to 15 business days delivery on top of the 5 to 6 business days they allow for printing.
You are quite right that they quote FedEx and UPS as their carriers, but my test copy came Royal Mail.
In any event it seems that a degree of patience is required; not my strong point.

Very strange if they are quoting Fed ex etc but using Royal Mail!! So far I don't seem to be having too many probs, as I said the George Rodger book got here ok & a DVD from Moviemail in the Channel Isles sent on the 9th arrived today, so it's hard to judge.

I think private delivery companies use the Royal Mail to delivery small packages and letters, "the last mile".
