WWII film recovered
https://www.warhistoryonline.com/wor...i_soldier.html I wonder what his developing times were.

Martin, I really enjoyed this too. I did hear him say 7 minutes' developing; but I'm not familiar with powder developers and will leave it to someone else to identify that.

Thanks for that. I realised after about 2 mins that I had seen this before. I must have seen it on another site. Unfortunately for we aficionados he doesn't really go into what developer, how he worked our suitable times etc. The clip was aimed for the general public which is understandable.
I would have thought that he might have mentioned how he gets the films however as that is of general interest. Is it through his website for instance, word of mouth? It's a good advert for what is known as "hybrid" on another site i.e. develop then scan as scanning apparently can reveal things on negatives that a darkroom printer would have no chance of doing. I cannot comment as I know nothing about scanning. Mike |

Although I'm trying to make space for a darkroom, I've had to resort to the "hyybrid" method and cloud detail does tend to be good.

HC110 is said to be very good for old film as it minimises base fog.
