Hello from Beautiful North Wales
Started my interest in photography many moons ago, as a child I used to sit in a blacked out kitchen with my Father using a Gnome enlarger and watching pictures magically appear in chemically trays, I did a graphic design and photography course at Medway college of Art in the sixties, went on to work in Cadbury's design studio, from there I had two years at a silk screen printers in Rhyl then ran an advertising studio in a large motor sales company, I went freelance in 1984 and then in 1994, with a business partner, opened Photo Imaging North Wales in Bangor.
Our initial processing equipment was a Fuji compact mini lab, over the intervening years we have seen the release of APS film which was heralded as the future of film (yeah right) then the onset of the digital revolution which, of course, required us to make a humungus capital investment on a digital mini lab, kiosks etc, we kept our film processor and maintained a reasonable intake of films however this dropped considerably over the following few years, but we are fortunate in that we still have a number of pro and amatuer film users plus I have an Xpan and a Pentax 645 which come out every so often when the mood takes me. Interest in film does seem to be creeping up again and we have picked up a few Holga users of late so let's hope that this trend increases. We process 35mm and medium format colour and black and white neg film. By the way my LRPS and ARPS distinctions were on film! Wow, that's a long introduction.... Joan

Some of the members here are meeting for a natter and field trip to Cwmorthin near Blaena in October, if you do a search here you will find the posting with details if your interested in coming along, it will be very informal |

Hi Joan and welcome. That's quite a pedigree in photography you've got. I have often wondered about getting a P645 so I am glad FADU now has an experienced user of such a camera.
