What are you printing, right now!
Just had a cracking session in the darkroom and I'd like to share the experience, real-time! The prints are washing and drying as I post.
Please feel free to post a snap of whatever you're working on while you're working on it. Hopefully, we'll inspire one another to get printing. This is print from a 6x7 negative of Kirkabister Ness Lighthouse, Bressay, Shetlands. Ilford MG FB paper 16x20'' and Ilford MG dev.

I had the luck of picking up a Saunders 4 blade easel when in the US some years ago.
Wouldn't be in the darkroom without one now.

I too love working in the darkroom and did so yesterday pm and I produced a print, which I am pleased with.
The thought of taking a digital photo part way through the session, trying to resize it, starting the computer and trying to download it would completely ruin my pleasure of being in the darkroom and away from all things digital! So no I will not be posting mid darkroom session!!! Paul |

Although I feel it only really makes sense if the prints are still wet otherwise you might as well scan them and put them into the gallery section and there's no idea how fresh the prints really are. It only took 15mins to put online during a six hour session. As far as Digi goes, have you ever tried pushing a wet print down a USB port!

Just finished an enjoyable morning session and the prints are now washing as I type
Thanks Marty for the inspiration, as I was a little hesitant today I worked with 3 - 4"x5" negatives from my West Blean Wood series. I made 12 prints on 8"x10" Oriental Seagull WT/glossy. The prints will be trimmed and mounted on 10"x12" 300g white stock paper, stored in Secol print sleeves in a portfolio box. To date I've printed 64 different images for this series with about 13 more to completion. Two of the negatives were more difficult to print than anticipated, one was straight 'out the box' The image depicts the prints washing in a Silverprint 12"x16" 6 slot washer.

Very productive Trevor, 3 prints in one session that would be a record for me!
Nice to see work hot off the press. I can almost smell the chemicals...

Marty, if I was printing 16"x20" like you, 3 would be enough for me too

Sadly I have been unable to print in the darkroom for several weeks. During the winter there is too much cold and condensation in the garage and I have had to take my enlarger indoors. In fact I am having a pretty frustrating time all round with cameras not working, lack of inspiration etc.
Sorry- had to let it out! Les |
