Looking for a Durst M805 with a BW condenser head.

you'll be lucky. Probably the most desireable of the Durst enlargers and they only come available occasionally and at high prices.

I've seen a flurry of these recently in the Netherlands. But that's probably not helpful for you.

Why the most desirable?

Unless i'm mistaken, they are 6*9, which isn't exactly the most common of formats. I'd have thought a 6*7 capable enlarger would be a better, and smaller/lighter choice for the vast majority of people.

Why the preference?

various reasons. The M805 was a pro grade enlarger as the L1200 is.
having 6x9 capability it works for a lot of older camera formats including the fuji MF rangefinders.
The condensor system is very good. There are auto focus models, not that you are looking for one.

Just see the used prices for them compared to all the other Dursts.

the 805 were used in pro darkrooms for colour work mostly well made and very modern at the time ,a great bit of kit good luck
