Hello Fran,
Remember that your condenser head is *also* a diffusion head.
Drop a sheet of white translucent plastic between the output of the condenser and the input of the negative carrier and, instantly, you've got a diffusion enlarger. You can try this with a sheet of drawing paper...

Thanks georgegiralt - that means I can try it out without having to do all the setup. Truth is I have quite a bit to learn using the standard setup before moving on to other stuff. I also need to go see some exhibitions to see some real prints.

I'm very lucky in that there is a very good film man in my local club who has been very helpful and supportive. I'll take a visit or 2 to him to try and up my skills.
