Thumbs down Colour developing lab UK

I shoot virtually exclusively B&W film which I home process and shoot so little colour that I’ve always thought that it is not economic to buy chemicals for a maximum of one film every six months. I have these verY occasional rolls of film laboratory processed.

Does anyone have a recommended UK lab for process only colour negative film? FWIW I have a single 35mm cassette sat on my desk.

Thanks in advance

Hi Dave,

I've used AG Photolab for both b+w and colour (see sponsors link above, which has link to Photolab site) and been very happy with the results.

I've just looked at the link and it seems that they DON'T make prints!?...

Them seem to just develop and scan your film and you then pay extra if you want your negs returned.

I too only use colour film, very occasionally, but would like the standard service of d+p, with BOTH prints and negs sent back when I do finish a film.

No they don't do prints but I use colour rarely and general only need a scan of them. They do send the prints back free standard 2nd class.

If I wanted prints I would use AG though. I would also use AG for 120 film

Default Colour prints

The information about not doing prints may not be completely correct. I had to ring them last week about another matter and the conversation drifted over to the colour paper they use in their labs and the paper type they used was Fuji. So if they have missed this off the website it may be worth giving them a call and asking them.

Like a most labs these days the process will be a combined silver based (the paper) and digital (the exposure.
