If you are trying Mike's new cyanotype process you will probably love it and will want to do more - I did :-)
Dichromates are very hard to source these days so I would order the 50g and keep it in stock, it will come in handy for other alt processes should you decide to try them at a later date. If you go down this route make up a small amount of the dichromate in to a percentage solution for accurate measurement of the 0.1g. It is critical to get this right for this process. Neil.

If it is only a gramme or two you want, I could measure out a small quantity.... Unfortunately, it is not something that could be posted (I run the risk of losing my job if I tried).

It appears that wetplate supplies will sell small quantities but you have to be an educational establishment, presumably on safety/fitperson grounds whereas uklaboratory will only sell in the massive quantity of 1KG - well massive if you only need 0.1 g at a time but the good news appears to be that there is no restriction on a "dodgy" chemical if you shop there.
Sounds like the basis for a Marx Brothers film where Hugo Hackenbush, a horse doctor, operates on human patients without restriction, assisted by I think Harpo who has a white coat with "Joe's Quick Fit Brakes" on the back of it Mike |

thanks everybody
I'm trying in vain to stop buying loads of chemicals but just bought 50g since that seems to be the smallest quantity available hopefully I'll find a use for it somewhere else robin |

It is probably a bit late now for Robin but this may come in handy for anyone else who is looking in and wants to try this process.
Fotospeed do an excellent kit which includes much more than just the chemicals - worth thinking about if you do not wish to keep a stash of raw chemicals. But probably more interesting is you can also buy from Fotospeed (and other suppliers) just the sensitiser for around £20 IIRC. The sensitiser contains the dichromate so this avoids the dichromate buying problem. The other chemicals required for Mike Ware's method are easy to find and buy. Neil.
