Default Hi from the Highlands......

......and to introduce myself to this forum, my name is Carol and as the title of this introduction suggests I live in the Highlands of Scotland.

I started my photography path with digital and still use my canon 60D regularly but I had a hankering to go back to basics and at the beginning of this year I purchased a Canon AE-1 with a Canon 28mm lens. I have now progressed, instead of having it processed elsewhere I now developing my own film all be it in it's infancy, I use a paterson tank system with rodinal. I scan my negatives using a Epson Perfection 4870 as I don't have the space to start printing myself, one step too far for the time being at least!

I have also purchased, from a boot sale, a Kodak Brownie 127 (1963 version) and have thoroughly enjoyed using 127 film. Quite a revelation just having one button to press!

I now await the delivery, today hopefully, of an Olympus OM20 including the 50mm and 28mm Zuiko lenses.

Anyway look forward to being part of this forum and making new friends.

Welcome Carol from another newbie. This is a great forum to help with anything film and darkroom related. Good luck with your adventures in film - you've got some nice gear already!

Oh dear, three cameras in such a short space of time. Or won't be long before you get your hands on a medium format camera and then the hankering for something larger kicks in. There is no cure for this, only understanding and support from self help groups such as this.

You are in good company here, so welcome to the club

P.S. I started out with 35mm, then MF, and now have four 5x4 cameras and a desire to try something even bigger

Welcome Carol. Best of luck with film processing. Always nice to have a strip of negs in your hand after processing. It is real as opposed to virtual. There is something to hold in the analogue world which is a major attraction to me
