Do you have a budget for your timer ? Give us some idea of what you have in mind to spend, make / model of your enlarger, and I am sure you will receive plenty of advice and recommendations.

If you want a timer that you'll never outgrow, look at the timers of RHdesigns. They are very good and then some...

i currently have a meopta opemus 6 enlarger and i have a philips pdt 1020 light analyser and timer but dont know how to set it up as the timer has a female iec socket and my enlarger has standard uk plug and i have no instructions as to how the timer connects

It sounds like you just need to swop the 13amp plug for a male IEC plug, or you mean that you don't know how to operate the timer?

Dave is spot on, I have a Paterson 1020 that I think is the same thing,would you like me to scan the english pages of the instruction book and email them.
