Lets have a price sweepstake.

I'll start the bidding at £250 for the basic body+cone.

You can buy a kit for a 10x8 camera that takes a lens board and focuses/tilts/shifts from here:

£300.

DaveP, I'm sure I did see a RRP quoted in one of my magazines this week and think it said just under the £300 mark, so you're probably not far off if I remember correctly, because of course (hopefully) the street price would be a bit lower.

I too have longed for something like this for years and have made various larger format pinholes myself out of biscuit tins and cardboard boxes etc.

I love the idea of the new camera but the price does seem a bit steep, even for the 5 x 4 version, but who am I to say as they're selling well.

Default The 10 x 8 Titan is here!

Well, I received my Firstcall-photographic.co.uk newsletter this morning = and a good read it is too!

Page 22 has a feature on the now available Titan 10 x 8, with an RRP of £298.80 incl VAT.

Fidelity 10 x 8 darkslides are also available from Harman at £98 incl VAT.

A picture of the beast (the camera that is!) can be seen here:

Terry does the production version have the two extra pinholes like the version in the photo or did they bin that idea? I'm away from home at the minute so haven't got the newsletter yet.

I was fortunate enough to handle the beast a few weeks ago down in Dungeness with Leon. I dispensed the thought of buying the 5x4 version as I already have the Zero 5x4 but I'm seriously tempted with this one!

Not sure Dave... It looks like the picture they have used in the newsletter is the original 5 x 4 model. I only say that as the boxes of film that are also in the photo seem to fit those dimensions more than the 10 x 8 but I could be wrong...

Having just checked the 'Firstcall' website, it also seems that they have done the same there as well, as all of the 'manufacturers description' is also about the 5 x 4 under the 10 x 8 ad!???

http://www.firstcall-photographic.co...pinhole-camera

Be interesting to see a 'real' one though, even though I've just purchased a wooden handmade 10 x 8 = at quite a cheaper price! , which I'm itching to put through it's paces over the weekend = whatever the weather is like!
