Default Balda Baldix Rangefinder

I have a Balda Baldix that was given to me. I have cleaned and used the camera and it works quite well. I am planning on using it again this summer but want to try and fix the rangefinder.

I has an uncoupled range finder but it is inaccurate doe anyone have any tips on re calibrating it?

Thanks
David

Here's maybe what you are looking for

https://www.flickr.com/groups/289621...7627362476097/

It doesn't appear to open but Google Balda Baldix uncoupled rangefinders and it should take you to the Flickr site where the Flickr thread is and there you will find a link to a photo of the rangefinder internals

Can someone explain what I have done wrong ?

Mike

[Bob: I think I have fixed the link - relevant post looks like the one by Urbanimage a few posts down]

Thank you , I shall investigate further. A quick look and Flickr may have what I need, never used that site before

I have a couple of those with both 3 and 4 element lenses and they're nice cameras but I've given up trying to calibrate the rangefinders.
I've found a few old accessory shoe rangefinders and they can be inaccurate with age.

Well, what do you know? I looked at Bob's link and it worked fine despite looking like my link. So I clicked on my original link and it has worked fine as well

Maybe I did nothing wrong - it was just a quirky internet at the time

Hi Mike. I fixed your link so as to avoid confusing peeps (but only managed to confuse you instead ). Originally there were two copies of the URL address in your link so I untangled them.

Thanks Bob. Can you explain in simple terms what I failed to spot when attempting to insert it so I can try not to do it again and tangle another two copies of any other URL address so need rescuing again.

Sorry Mike, I have no idea - the two URLs were mixed so that one was in the middle of the other. I assume you accidentally pasted the address twice. Something like this
Code:
www.film-and-darwww.film-and-darkroom-user.org.uk/kroom-user.org.uk/
