Default Protectan Spray

I have bought a can of this and having never used it before, I wanted to ask if you would use this for all chemicals, rather than just developer, including things like selenium toner?

You could, but it is only (in my experience) developers that suffer from oxidisation and therefore require protection. The idea is that the heavy gas lays on top of the liquid to form a barrier, therefore you do not need very much.

Also press the valve gently to avoid spreading the developer around the room.

Thanks for that Dave, and you also confirmed my assumption that it was heavier than air, and hence as you said you do not need very much.
