Print arrived today from BuzzNL.
It's a low-key, moody image which just speaks about quietness. There has been selective burning in on the print to help focus attention on the central subject. Sebastiaan, if this is how you're printing after one year I am mightily impressed. I can't wait to see what you're capable of in the future. |

And got delivered today!
Received a nice snowy print from Mike, very appropriate for this season (unfortunately we hardly ever get a white Christmas over here in Holland ). Mike was waiting with his family for the train to visit the Christmas Market in Manchester. He took this photo of people on the platform waiting in the snowy weather for the train to arrive. Mike, you state that you could have printed it a little darker, but I like it just the way it is! The snowy conditions imo allow for lots of white to be present in the image. The almost-white sky sets the mood of the weather conditions quite well. Furthermore the MGV RC paper delivers truly amazing blacks as can be seen in the people's clothes, something I've been struggling with on any other paper I've tried over the last couple of months. Have been debating whether I should get some Foma papers when my current stock runs dry, but your photo once again proves that I simply must get another box of MGV RC! Thank you Mike! |

Hello Michael, I received your lovely print of ‘St. Joseph’s’, today. The composition is perfectly balanced and your Leica Summaron lens has rendered the light exquisitely. You’ve got to love them old lenses. The textured surface of the Ilford Art 300 softens the contrast and details and works really well especially when combined with the subtle warmth of the KRST. A very nice print, indeed.

Marty, you're very kind: thank you.
As Art 300 scans so poorly, I'm going to upload a print scan from a version I made on MGFB. It gives a general idea of what I sent you. I still look at the print you sent me in October, by the way. Very satisfying. |

Lieber Frank,
today I received your image. I am very happy with it. It shows the valley of Alzette near Luxemburg city, with an old stone bridge. Very atmospheric. I also like that you used a Rolleiflex |
