Default Major Print Exhibition at Chris Beetles Gallery

An exhibition perhaps not to be missed.

Somewhat limited in scope I'd have thought. Trevor.

Just put it down to my early seasonal bug called " Pantomimeitis" which forces those afflicted to make outrageous statements

Seriously, it looks amazing

How many did you buy?

Could be a good source of Christmas presents.

Finally got to see this exhibition today - wow - made my day, some classic work on show from, Kertesz, Steichen, HCB, AA, Bravo, Karsh, Penn, the list just goes on. 112 photographs, mostly silver gelatin prints, but about six digital fibre prints, plus some colour prints. Prices range from £750 to Irvin Penn's 1957 iconic shot of Picasso - £70000. I noted about 23 prints had sold, including HCB's 'Rue Mouffetard, Paris, 1954' for £25000. I resisted and just came away with the £10 catalogue, 134 pages, which itself is an absolute bargain, being better than most photographic books costing twice as much.

It runs until 26th of this month and if anyone is visiting London do go and see it, it's free to get in and I don't think you will be disappointed. About a twenty-five minute walk from Victoria mainline station and a little nearer from Charing Cross.
