New joiner from Hertfordshire

Retired last and year and the first thing I did was set up a home darkroom. Having a great time, shooting mainly street photography on black and white 35mm film.

Hi Bob, about 10 years ago a friend of mine kindly let me set up an ad-hoc darkroom in his utility space as I had no room at home at that time for my own set up. So the steep learning curve in darkroom printing started then. But due to time constraints and a certain amount of guilt about imposing on my friend, I abandoned the darkroom project and sold most of my gear. (Regretfully even some of my film cameras). However, with retirement I have been able to free up some space at home and now have plenty of time to indulge my new hobby!

Hi Mike, Up until recently I was using a Leica M7, but it currently has a shutter issue with the higher shutter speeds, so it needs to be shipped off to the repairer's. Luckily I have a backup Bessa R2a, which I'm actually quite enjoying due to its lighter weight. I also use an Olympus XA2 on occasions when I want to travel light!

Using Tri-x currently but its getting so expensive, I might move to Kentmere at some point

Thank you for the welcome! I feel I have my hands are more than full with B&W, good luck with the colour work, that must be both fun and challenging I'd imagine.
